    Detailed Information:
A "vivisector" is a person who harms animals for research experiments, usually while receiving large salaries and/or grants. The animals may be shocked, infected, implanted with devices, forced to perform unnatural tasks, burned, immobilized in stereotaxic devices, addicted to drugs, subjected to dangerous surgical procedures, mutilated -- generally, anything to which no human would agree to be subjected. Some animals are simply forced to endure captivity in an unnatural environment. Many experiments include slaughter. The laws that are supposed to protect animals in research are weak and include broad loopholes.
