    Detailed Information:
"El Pobre de Asis", is a bi-national non-profit animal rescue and welfare organization located in the coastal town of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico. Our mission is the following....a) Enhance and improve our existing shelter for homeless cats and dogs with a variety of adequate and necessary facilities, including a small clinic, and adoption center. See the shelter in this web page...www.mascotaazul.com/asis

    b) Create a partnership with the local goverment officials to adopt state and federal ordnances regardings the treatment of animals.

    c) Initiate and promote a spay/neuter assistance program with local and international volunteers veterinarians.

    d) Start a humane education program in the public schools, to promote humane principles, prevent cruelty, and alleviate fear, pain, and suffering in animal.

Like many organizations of this nature, our priority is to initiate and promote a sterilization campaign so desperately needed. We would like to help the local goverment follow the healt department ordinances already in place and ultimately help propose and pass an animal welfare law. Please sign this petition...http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/506496065 and send it to more organization...we need the support from more organizations for the change.

We sincerely appreciate your valuable time and hope you are able to contact us with information on how to qualify for assistance.
