Lago Vista PAWS is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to preventing animal suffering, rescuing and caring for stray and abandoned dogs and cats and finding good homes for these animals, educating the public about responsible pet ownership, and encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their animals.

Years ago, Lago Vista was fortunate enough to have a few individuals dedicated to the idea that dogs and cats were not disposable commodities and deserved good homes. Because of their early efforts, Lago Vista has a beautiful shelter where our local lost, stray, and abandoned animals can be taken. LV PAWS was founded in 1997. Since then, thousands of animals have passed through our shelter doors. When possible, we reunite them with their original families. Otherwise, we find new loving, forever homes for them.
