Detailed Information:
Founded in 1991, Sinapu’s advocacy for wolves and other wild carnivores has forged a deep commitment to “rewilding” the Southern Rockies through the restoration of top carnivores to their regulatory role in our wild lands.
Today, our commitment to marrying scientific rigor with grassroots organizing and litigation bare fruit within two overarching projects: native carnivore restoration and defense, and habitat defense. Not content to simply see carnivores restored, we collaborate with our regional colleagues to ensure that land use is consistent with carnivore stewardship. The functional paradigm for Sinapu is rooted in the field of conservation biology.
