POPPA, Inc., Pet Over-Population Prevention Advocates, is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation working to reduce the number of homeless companion animals in Oregon by offering a statewide spay/neuter referral and assistance service. The money for these services is raised through individual donations and through the sale of donated plant material at Recycled Gardens, POPPA, Inc.'s fund-raising division located in Hillsboro, OR.
Every week we assist an average of 18 individuals and 36 animals at a cost of approximately $1100 per week. As of June 2005 nearly 8900 companion animal spay or neuter Surgeries have happened with POPPA's help since Sept 2001.
