    League Against Cruel Sports

Established in 1924, the League Against Cruel Sports campaigns peacefully for legislation to protect wildlife and abolish cruel sports. The League investigates the truth about cruel sports and exposes the unnecessary suffering that they cause. The League’s campaigning work enjoys cross-party support in Parliament and public support across the world. The League also provides practical help to wildlife through its network of Wildlife Sanctuaries. Since 1959, the League has purchased land of special benefit to wildlife in the South-West of England. The sanctuaries provide opportunities to educate members of the public and for them to see wild animals in their natural habitat. They are managed using sound conservation practices to provide a safe haven for wild animals for generations to come.
