National Humane Education Society
In 1948, Mrs. Anna Briggs founded The National Humane Education Society (NHES) as a nonprofit organization to foster a sentiment of kindness to animals in children and adults. Fifty years later, she has established a national organization, with more than 500,000 supporters.
