Cetacea Defence campaigns against whaling,( especially the Faroes) fishing net entanglement(bycatch) and captivity. Cetacea Defence was one of the bodies which sucessfully helped close down UK dolphinaria, inaugurated JULY 4TH WORLD DAY FOR CAPTIVE DOLPHINS in 1993 and LATER WORLD WEEK, 1-7TH, lent assistence to campaigners in Sweden and Finland and with Yvon Godefroid helped close Antwerp dolphinarium in 1998
