    Promotes plant-based eating and humane treatment of farm animals. Conducts five annual national grassroots diet education campaigns including the Great American Meatout (http://www.meatout.org ) ,World Farm Animals Day ( http://www.wfad.org ), Gentle Thanksgiving, CHOICE (Consumers for Healthy Options in Children's Education) (http://www.choiceusa.net ), and Letters From FARM. Through the Sabina Fund, FARM provides grants to grassroots groups that promote plant-based eating. Also sponsors annual national animal rights conference. Publishes quarterly FARM Report, fact sheets, brochures, and other educational materials. Maintains large article and slide collection. Operates from the nation's capital through a large network of local groups and individuals. Supported entirely by individual contributions. Has 15,000 supporters and a staff of ten.
