Paw's Place Animal Rescue
Paw's Place, Inc. was organized as a no-kill, non-profit domestic animal rescue due to my deeply felt desire to reduce the number of animals that were being euthanized annually in our county. I worked for 2 years as a volunteer for two no-kill shelters, and the county animal services, finding homes for over 250 dogs. In 1999, I established the corporation for Paw's Place, I filed the IRS documents for a non-profit organization, and then set out to find the perfect location for the shelter. In June 1999, Paw's Place, Inc. purchased a 5 acre tract of land in Boiling Spring Lakes. I then designed the dog kennels and layout, paying special attention to the needs of the dogs especially their needs for comfort, safety, and proper hygiene. With the help of volunteers, led by my husband Jim, 42 covered kennels were completed in about 90 days. The shelter had its first occupants before it was totally completed.

Detailed Information:
Hello, My name is Kim Nolen and I volunteer at "Paw's Place Animal Rescue." We would appreciate it if you would post our link on your web site. A little about us: Paw's Place, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c) 3 domestic animal rescue. Our mission is LIFE, and we pursue it four ways: 1. we save pets; 2. we nurse them back to health; 3. we provide a sanctuary for those that are unable to be adopted; 4. and most important of all, we find them loving homes- no matter how long it takes. All animals are spayed or neutered. No animal who is brought to Paw's Place is ever put to sleep. If necessary, they will have a home with us, forever.
