    Virginia League Of Rescuers (VALOR)

Virginia League of Rescuers is a group that formed as a result of many expressed concerns about how the unwanted companion animals in our state (and other states) are treated, the restrictions being placed on those who try to save them, how the Virginia Comprehensive Animal Laws have been enforced (or NOT enforced) in the past, and what the likely results of the new laws which became effective July 1, 2022 will be.

There has been no organized group that speaks on behalf of RESCUERS. Virginia League of Rescuers is an attempt to unite dedicated volunteer rescuers, fosters, transporters - including both residents of Virginia or non-residents who rescue animals from Virginia or have foster homes in Virginia. Membership is also open to those who may not be active in animal rescue, but wish to support rescuers.
