The Songbird Protection Coalition was founded by a concerned citizen of Michigan, in order to bring together other citizens, to make sure our voice - the majority - is heard and listened to at the Capitol in Lansing. There is strength in numbers, knowledge, and education.

The goal of the coalition is to provide a home-base for the voting public and accountability for our elected officials on election day and every day a vote is cast, for or against our native Michigan songbirds. Members are diverse and include animal advocates, avid hunters, biologists, bird hobbyists, environmentalists, falconers, farmers, kids, lobbyists, ornithologists, professors, wildlife rehabilitators, and most of all - the average citizen.

Join us today to restore Michigan's long heritage of protection of a traditional songbird and Michigan's official Bird of Peace.
