    NY SAVE, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that serves pets of New York City residents living in all its five boroughs. Its mission is to provide funding for emergency veterinary care of companion animals owned by low-income residents when these pets need immediate treatment to survive, and their owners are unable to pay the costs involved.

    Pet owners can apply directly to NY SAVE or obtain services through a referral by a veterinarian who is a member of the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City. Identification and documentation of poverty or disability is needed.
