    Detailed Information:
    The mission of the observatory is threefold:

      1. Research : The observatory will act as a catalyst for additional research onbirds and their conservation and will conduct research on species and topics of special interest and concern.

      2. Education : The observatory will act as a disseminator of bird-relatedinformation and will develop and present educational programs for the public,local school children and their teachers.

      3. Conservation : The observatory will act constructively as an advocate forbirds and bird habitat in local decision-making forums.
