    Detailed Information:
Farm Sanctuary is an organization based out of California and New York which aids in the protection of farm animals. They provide a permanent home for those animals who have been rescued from slaughter houses, or other areas where farm animals have been cruelly treated. The organization is extremely active in the legislative process, prosecuting farm animal abusers, passing landmark laws to outlaw cruel animal agricultural practices at stockyards and slaughterhouses, and exposing the meat, egg, and dairy industries through national news and public awareness campaigns.
